ECTA are pleased to announce we have been successful in securing funding through BEIS and Midlands Growth Hub for training for those wishing to upskill to be able to install, service and maintain Ground/Air Source Heat Pumps and Solar Thermal Systems.
Heat Pump & Solar Thermal Training
Up to 70% funding towards Heat Pump or Solar Thermal Training!
Find a courseLimited spaces and time available to claim - Unvented, Energy Efficiency and Water Regulations included as part of offer if required.
We can also provide support and some funding towards MCS accreditation through our partnerships with Easy MCS and NICEIC.
Up to 70% funding is available for companies based in England wishing to gain the following qualifications:
- Level 3 Award in the Installation and Maintenance of Heat Pumps Systems (Non-refrigerant Circuits)
- Level 3 Award in the Installation and Maintenance of Solar Thermal Systems
Both of these technologies are eligible for funding through the Green Homes Grant scheme, which gives 2/3 funding towards the cost of the installation of certain energy-efficient measures in homes up to a value of £5000.
Those on certain benefits may be able to claim up to £10,000.
The Governments Clean Growth Strategy sets out the commitment to phase out the installation of gas boilers in new build properties during the next few years, and the target of 600,000 heat pumps to be installed annually by 2028 to help meet the zero net carbon target by 2050. As heating engineers, it certainly looks like renewable technologies are going to become part of your everyday role.
There are some pre-requisite qualifications you must hold to take the above courses, such as Energy Efficiency, Unvented (Hot Water Systems and Safety), and Water Regulations, depending on which course(s) you wish to do. These are also eligible for funding. The amount of funding available is dependent on the size of the company, and businesses must be based in England (or intending to install measures in England under the Green Homes Grant). Training must be completed by 14th May 2021
“I was really impressed with the depth of knowledge displayed by both the training and assessment teams.”Peter Lamb
