Our Gas Engineer Apprenticeships

Domestic Gas Apprenticeship

  • 18 months
  • 20% “off the job” training at our centre in Stockport
  • You will work towards ACS qualifications in four appliances, usually domestic gas boilers and water heaters, domestic cooking appliances and unvented hot water systems.

Commercial Catering Equipment Technician Apprenticeship

  • 27-30 months
  • 20% “off the job” training at our centre in Stockport
  • You will work towards ACS qualifications in four appliances/categories: Core Commercial Catering, Solid/Open Top Ranges, Deep Fat and Pressure Fryers, Forced Draught Burning Appliances and Changeover to LPG (Permanent Dwellings)
  • Developed in partnership with CEDA

Become a qualified Gas Engineer
As a gas engineer apprentice, you will learn how to install various gas appliances, maintain gas systems, how to diagnose and fix problems, and make any necessary repairs.

You will also learn how to service multiple appliances, ensuring safety according to the relevant regulations and standards, and provide expert advice to customers.

Whether you’re looking to get started as a gas engineer and enter the industry for the first time, or wishing to upskill a team member, we have a suitable apprenticeship available for you.

We have two different Level 3 apprenticeship routes available in domestic gas and commercial catering equipment.
