It covers risk assessments for Legionella and where required, disinfection of Water systems in residential premises. With recent high profile cases highlighting the importance and legal responsibility on landlords and facilities managers to assess the risk of legionella, it has never been more important to ensure you are meeting your obligations.

Course details

One day course for managers or supervisors responsible for the Risk assessment and disinfection of water systems in domestic premises in relation to the legionella bacteria.

The course covers the requirements of ACoP L8, HSE guidance and British Standards, and includes:

  • What is Legionella and how it is contracted?
  • What does the Law say?
  • Risk Assessment
  • Hot & Cold Water Services
  • Solar Hot Water Systems
  • Spa Pools
  • Disinfection and Treatment methods
  • Record Keeping

The course includes training, training materials and  multiple choice assessments.

The qualification lasts for 5 years.
